World Thinking Day is one of the most significant dates in the guiding calendar.
On the day, Guides and Girl Scouts everywhere think of each other and of their commitment to international friendship and understanding.
It is celebrated each year on 22nd February, which was the birthday of both Robert Baden-Powell and his wife, the former World Chief Guide, Olave Baden-Powell.
This year, World Thinking Day will be celebrated in school and Rainbows, Brownies and Guides are invited to come to school on Monday 22nd February 2016 in their guide uniform.
In the Scouting movement the occasion is known as Founders Day.ย Beavers, Cubs and Scouts are also invited to join the celebration by attending school in their scout uniform.
