Welcome to Dawn Till Dusk Childcare
Dawn till Dusk Childcare is attached to Middleton-in-Teesdale Nursery & Primary School. We have excellent links with the school and pride ourselves on our excellent transition arrangements between the school and the foundation stage unit, where your child will go the term after their 3rd birthday.
We are OFSTED registered, providing childcare for children aged from 16 months – 11 years.
Dawn till Dusk is a non-profit making company. Fees are used to provide resources and equipment for the children, to provide snacks and treats and also to pay staff wages. We offer a safe, stimulating and caring environment for all children. We pride ourselves on our welcoming, friendly and caring setting with our fully qualified staff.
We are open Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 5:30pm, term time only. However, we often provide holiday care during the Easter and Summer Holidays; which is due to parental demand. We offer out of school care, before and after school care and also wrap around care within the schools Foundation Stage Unit, as well as full day care for children aged 16 months – 3 years.

Our Provision:
OUT OF SCHOOL CARE – BREAKFAST AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE:
Our Breakfast Club provides a healthy nutritious breakfast for the children to start their day and is available from 7:30am.
After School Club is from 3.00pm – 5:30pm; a welcoming atmosphere allows the children to relax, play with their friends and partake in all kinds of activities such as; baking, arts and crafts and outdoor exploring. A light snack is also given around 3:15pm. Children are more than welcome to bring a packed lunch style tea from home.
LITTLE NURSERY:
Little Nursery was given it’s name by the children and it is adjoined to the schools Foundation Stage Unit (Big Nursery), whom we work closely alongside. We offer a stimulating, fun and vibrant atmosphere for the children to explore, both indoors and out; our safe, secure outdoor area provides an area for the children to learn about the world around them and is a reflection to our indoor provision areas.
Children are regularly observed by their key person who builds up a strong relationship with the child as well as their family. We pride ourselves on our learning journals, taking time to add important stages in your child’s development which create memories that you can reflect back on in years to come.
Excellent transition arrangements ensure that each child receives a smooth and seamless journey from room to room.
ADDITIONAL THREE YEAR OLD NURSERY PROVISION:
We provide additional nursery care for children who already attend our schools Foundation Stage Unit (3-4 year olds). This can be morning and afternoon sessions and lunch cover.
This is in addition to the 15 hours funding provided by the government.
