We are the privately run childcare provider attached to Middleton-in-Teesdale Nursery and Primary School, we currently run from two rooms in the school offering full and part time nursery sessions for children aged 9 months to 3 years. We offer a breakfast and after school club and extra nursery sessions in the school’s Early Years Foundation Stage Unit. We are open 07:30- 17:30 Monday to Friday, term time only. Due to parent demand we also offer a holiday club during the school holidays.

We run a Parent and Toddler Group every Thursday during the school term from 09:30-11:00.

Our Provision:

OUT OF SCHOOL CARE – BREAKFAST AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE:

Our breakfast club provides a healthy nutritious breakfast for the children to start their day and is available from 7:30am.

After school club is from 3.00pm – 5:30pm; a welcoming atmosphere allows the children to relax, play with their friends and partake in all kinds of activities such as: baking, arts and crafts and outdoor exploring.  A light snack is also given around 3:15pm.  Children are more than welcome to bring a packed lunch style tea from home.

LITTLE NURSERY:

Little Nursery was given its name by the children, and it is adjoined to the schools Foundation Stage Unit (Big Nursery), whom we work closely alongside.  We offer a stimulating, fun and vibrant atmosphere for the children to explore, both indoors and out; our safe, secure outdoor area provides an area for the children to learn about the world around them and is a reflection to our indoor provision areas.

Children are regularly observed by their key person who builds up a strong relationship with the child as well as their family.  We pride ourselves on our learning journals, taking time to add important stages in your child’s development which create memories that you can reflect back on in years to come.

Excellent transition arrangements ensure that each child receives a smooth and seamless journey from room to room.

ADDITIONAL THREE-YEAR-OLD NURSERY PROVISION:

We provide additional nursery care for children who already attend our schools Foundation Stage Unit (3-4 year olds).  This can be morning and afternoon sessions and lunch cover.

This is in addition to the 15 hours funding provided by the government.

WRAP AROUND CARE/OUT OF SCHOOL PROVISION:

Our Breakfast Club provides a healthy nutritious breakfast for the children to start their day and is available from 7:30am.

After school club is from 3.00pm – 6.00pm; a welcoming atmosphere allows the children to relax, play with their friends and partake in all kinds of activities such as baking, arts and crafts and outdoor exploring.  A light snack is also given around 3:15pm.

For further information on our Nursery provision and Out of School provision please visit the Contact Us section of the website and ask for Lucy Grieves (Manager) or Natalie McNab (Deputy Manager).
